Scripture: 1 John 4:8
Whoever does not love does not know God, cialis because God is love.

Thought for the Day: Deep and profound joy, pharmacy a total sensory joy that encompasses your mind, body, and soul, is a gift from God to both the receiver and the entire universe. This joy that captures you in an intense, loving embrace, that stops time if even for the blink of an eye, creates calm and serenity within that also affects the attitude and loving nature of the world.

I think we underestimate the suggestive power of modern signs and symbols (to steal a few pages from Carl Jung). We are constantly, both subtly and intentionally, bombarded with images, slogans, ad campaigns, TV shows, books, movies, and apps that keep us boxed into a certain way of thinking—a violent way of thinking. These images and symbols also make us feel bad about ourselves physically, mentally and spiritually. The world looks like a disaster, and we feel like disasters, because we have conditioned ourselves to think that way, and because we insist on constantly filling our senses and spirit with images that separate us from each other and from God.

The birth of Jesus represents a new way of thinking. Jesus shows and tells us very clearly that we are beloved children of God—not worthless, but worthy; not violent, but peaceful; not created as damaged goods, but created perfectly and loved perfectly by the perfection of the Universe.

We can find and are meant to live profoundly joyful lives, and in particularly troubling times such as these, reaching out to accept God’s freely given love and grace is the best way I can think of to experience the joy, peace, love, and hope we all so richly deserve.

Prayer: My heart is yours, Holy God. My mind is yours, Holy God. My soul is yours, Holy God. Mold me into the image of the Christ, so that I too might be a light of joy, peace, love, and hope in a world we see only through a glass darkly. Amen.
