God is spirit, discount and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.

Thought for the Day: Truth is more than a moral code. In Scripture, shop truth is part of the very being of God. “The one true God” is a statement about God’s nature: God is true. God keeps God’s word. Truth is faithfulness and reliability, cure reality and completeness. God is the essence of truth, and as beings made in God’s image we should reflect that quality by acting reliably and being faithful.

When many people gather to worship in church or synagogue, in a mosque, at a drum circle or the beach, we become a spirit-led community. The everyday tensions that remove us from a spiritual state melt away, as we gather together, one people of God. Made in the image of God, we all have God’s spirit within us. Worship connects us with that spirit, and makes us true.

Prayer: Fill me, Holy Spirit, with the true nature of God. Amen.
