Scripture: Proverbs 24:3-4
By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
through knowledge its rooms are filled
with rare and beautiful treasures.

Thought for the Day: God’s new vision is breaking through, and God asks us to participate. God is the designer of a new world, and we’re to be the architects and builders. The real world of peace, abundance, health and well-being for all will not create itself, nor will God suddenly appear in a puff of smoke and enlighten us. A peaceful world that pools all its intellectual and material resources will remain a dream until we all believe it’s really possible, until we all gain wisdom and understanding, and until we all accept God’s new call. God uses all of us, as God has always used ordinary people to do extraordinary things. So I guess we have to ask ourselves, are we willing to pick up a hammer, and get to work?

Perhaps it’s no coincidence that the person many believe was God incarnate was a carpenter.

Prayer: God who constructs reality, I usually hit my fingers a lot when I use a hammer, but with your guidance, I am the architect you call me to be. Amen.
